The River LINE provides new light rail transit service from Trenton to Camden along the Delaware River.

Project Details

The 34.5-mile system includes 20 stations with a total of 3,300 parking spaces; reconstruction of more than 20 bridges along the route and upgrade of 50 public grade crossings. The line runs roughly parallel to Route 130 and offer connections to NJ TRANSIT, Amtrak, SEPTA, and PATCO trains. The project was constructed using Design Build Operate and Maintain (DBOM) methodology.

Role & Responsibility

Ashoka Consulting LLC staff served as the assistant program manager and coordinated design & construction activities with contractor, consultant, railroad agencies, utility companies and other local municipalities on this 34-mile Design Build Operate and Maintain (DBOM) light rail system from Trenton to Camden. Managed day to day design and construction issues, included project controls, related to railroads (PATCO, Amtrak, Conrail/CSX/Norfolk Southern) force accounts, utilities (AT&T, PSE&G, Verizon, Sprint and other local companies) force accounts, contractor and consultant work activities.
